The Groundbreaking Plant Based Documentary Will Be Removed From The Streaming Service On July 15th
The acclaimed plant based documentary "Forks Over Knives" will no longer be listed on Netflix come July 15th. Released in 2011, the film was almost a decade ahead of the now-infamous "Game Changers" documentary and was released at a time when plant based eating was still seen as a niche topic or an "extreme" way of eating.
It is a must view for anyone new or existing in the plant based world, as its direct, science-backed message of a plant based diet being optimal for human health is reinforced by doctors, athletes, and members of the public who reversed chronic lifestyle diseases using this method of eating. 3 particular examples are individuals suffering from type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and cancer. Luckily, if you can't catch it on Netflix before its July 15th deadline, Forks Over Knives can be streamed on their official website for less than $5.
Heart disease as far as I'm concerned is an absolutely toothless paper tiger, that need ever ever exist. And if it does exist, it need ever ever progress
The Original Game Changing Documentary
Released on May 6th, 2011, Forks Over Knives was the first professionally produced documentary that examined the link, using science, between what we eat and our most common chronic diseases. Throughout the documentary, both processed and animal foods are examined and their impact on human health is discussed. "Forks Over Knives examines the profound claim that most, if not all, of the chronic diseases that afflict us can be controlled or even reversed by rejecting animal-based and processed foods,"As the film synopsis puts it.
The documentary was the first mainstream production to clearly differentiate between a vegan and plant based diet, discuss the clear link between processed & animal foods and our biggest killers including type 2 diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, cancers and more. The film also features soem of the first interviews with top medical professionals in the lifestyle medicine field including Dr. T. Colin Campbell, Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn, Dr. John McDougall, Neal Barnard and more. We cannot recommend this documentary enough, so please, watch it as soon as you can.
