V-Face Opens Permanent Location in Stoneybatter, Dublin

Despite the ongoing pandemic, V-Face has opened its doors to the public. Serving burgers, hotdogs, fries & more, the plant-based burger bar originally appeared in Stoneybatter as a pop-up restaurant in 2018 and has been operating in various locations throughout the city for the past 2 years. The new outlet is big on sustainability, with all of the packaging compostable. In a statement to Plant Based Ireland, V-Face told us, “Some of our packaging, like for example the sauce containers may appear plastic, but they’re not. They are made from PLA which is a compostable material so straight into the compost bin with them.

Owner Sarah Boland secured the location on North Brunswick Street last year and has been busy renovating the unit. Slightly hampered by the pandemic but not deterred, Sarah opened V-Face in May for drop-ins and for delivery through Just Eat before welcoming her first sit-in customers Saturday 25th July. Sarah says: "It's been a lot busier than I expected, especially opening when we did. We had to turn people away on our first night, it was so busy."

Plant Based Puns On The Menu

The team at V-Face are more than clear on their offering, "Animal burgers, made with plants. We make lethal burgers without the killing. It’s all of the durt, none of the hurt, all of the cheat, none of the meat. We love vegan burgers, but we’re not all holier-than-cow. We won’t judge you for liking the taste of meat, you just won’t find any in our food.

We’ve got plants in our pants for locally sourced stuff, so we’ve stalked the best farmers near us for plant-based ingredients, and put them between some outrageous ̶p̶u̶n̶s̶, sorry, buns. So pop in and say hi, have a gawk at our menu. We don’t mince our words, just our chickpeas. Let our pulses make your heart race, no one leaves these plant burgers. Ok enough now, there won’t be mushroom for the menu.
