FiiD Online Sales “Up 450%” As Company Seeks Investment

The Irish Plant Based Start-Up Made €500,000 in Revenue Last Year & Is Looking To Expand Overseas

Fiid, an Irish plant based start-up stocked in 300 stores across Ireland has seen substantial growth in its retail & online sales this year. The half-million revenue in 2019 has already been achieved in the first three months of this year. Retail sales are already up 100% vs 2019, and online sales are up an astronomical 450%, as consumers shift shopping habits online during the pandemic.

The company was launched in December 2018 and produces plant-based ready meals in 3 flavors. Founder Shane Ryan, a health-conscious Limerick man, was inspired to start the brand after he struggled to find nutritious, high-quality ready meals that still manage to taste great.

Expansion Into The Europe & Middle East

Ryan has overseen a speedy expansion of Fiid to stores accross Ireland, and into Sainsbury's in the Uk this year. He is working on more distribution agreements in England, as well as deals to sell Fiid in Iceland & the Middle East. Iceland is the perfect market as contrary to popular belief, it is the world's most vegan-friendly country. It placed first in Google worldwide rankings for the popularity of veganism in 2018, and has continued to see increased growth in plant-based eating since.

Fiid has been donating meals to frontline workers in Ireland during the COVID-19 epidemic, and now offers subscription-based ordering from its website.
