Try These Delicious Vegan Chocolates This Easter

Easter is just around the corner, which means only one thing for kids. Chocolate. As parents, you walk a fine line between being a grinch and letting them run wild. Many supermarket Easter eggs are made of palm oil, artificial additives, dairy and inorganic ingredients. Not to mention coming from supply chains with questionable ethical cocoa harvesting practices!

Thankfully, with the growth in vegan products and ethical brands, we now have some options. We’ve partnered up with Jiminy.ie to show you two of the best (in our opinion) locally made chocolates that you can get for your little ones this Easter.

Playin Choc & Eco Toy – Jiminy eco-toys

The clever eco answer to a Kinder Egg! A beautifully-designed chocolate-and-surprise-toy set your little one will love - that loves them and their planet back! There are 60 different toys to collect (18 dinosaurs, 18 woodland animals, 18 endangered animals, and 6 rabbits) to keep the kids entertained.

They are made in the UK, certified vegan, certified organic, with just 4 ingredients, no soy, nuts, gluten, dairy, GM, refined sugar...and plastic!

Each chocolate is wrapped in a home-compostable, made-from-plants film.

Each cube has 2 x 10g vegan chocolates, an animal toy to make and a fact card (from the British Natural History Museum) about the animal. Available as individual cubes or as 6-cube giftsets (very popular for Easter).

Chocolatey Clare:

Chocolatey Clare made-in-Ireland vegan eco chocolate gift set – Jiminy eco-toys

Made in Ireland, vegan and organic (but not certified due to the cost). They are packaged in NatureFlex 100% from plants compostable clear wrapper and FSC cardboard box printed with vegetable-based ink by wind-powered printing machines.

A delicious halfway between dark and m*lk chocolate. 2 gift sets available: A set of 6 bars - salted peanut, strawberry, raspberry, lemon, ginger, and mint creme, or a set of bonbons.

They are made from organic cacao butter, raw, unrefined organic cane sugar, cacao powder, coconut milk powder, and vanilla powder with a 54% cocoa content. The organic cacao products are from the finest Peruvian Criollo beans.
